Let’s Start At The Very Beginning….
I grew up in the 1960’s. Two iconic movies hit the big screen: Mary Poppins (1964) and Sound of Music (1965). Julie Andrew’s characters always had a cheery disposition and sunny outlook on life. As corny as it sounds, she was my heroine as a child.
Celebrating my first year as founder and lead facilitator of Stand and Deliver Asheville, starts by commemorating it with the famous lines from “Do, Re, Mi,” a song Julie Andrews sang in Sound of Music – “Let’s start at the very beginning.”
